ABT-2
(ABC Tasmania)

ABT-2 was a regional variant of the national public service channel ABC. The 'T' in the station code stands for Tasmania. The suffix '2' denoted their channel position on the dial, not that they were the second ABC channel. There were also other variants of ABC in other states.

(2) The ABT-2 (Tasmania) transmissions of Series 4 are shrouded in mystery. What we do know is that the run exactly mirrored that of ABW-2 (Perth), so we at least know the transmission nights. The start time was initially 7.30pm, moving to 8.00pm by Tuesday 14th June (Perth kept to 7.30pm throughout).
(3) Prints tended to be shared by the ABC broadcasters, resulting in runs that were often months apart. However, ABW-2 and ABT-2 ran the series on exactly the same dates. Ordinarily this meant that each broadcaster would air a different episode compared to the other on a given night, but there were exceptions - The Murder Market and The Cybernauts on 22nd March and 12th April 1966 respectively. This suggests that one of the two territories aired a duplicate print or a videotaped telecine of these episodes.
